Dr. Honey Dixit holds a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Argosy University of Southern California in addition to obtaining her bachelor's degree in Psychology in the department of Cognitive Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
In addition to CBT and DBT, she uses the Holistic-Existential and Psychodynamic therapeutic approach to treatment. She was initially drawn to the field because of her humanitarian values and compassionate heart. It is her passion to help others in finding their own strength within that keeps her in the field. Dr. Dixit was born and raised in India until the age of 13 when she immigrated to the United States with her family. This transition helped her immensely in the psychological understanding of acculturation issues as a minority as well as culturally sensitive issues, including bicultural identity development.When she isn’t working, she enjoys badminton and kickboxing. In addition to English, she fluently speaks Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. Based in Irvine, CA, Dr. Dixit actively reaches out to communities in need of help, including welcoming patients from all cultures. She recognizes the potential of her clients and encourages them to be the best versions of themselves.
